CLIENT CARE SPECIALIST Marie Peters originally met Dr. Belovich in the early 1990's through her daughter and their interest of the equestrian field. Dr. Belovich and Kari, Marie’s daughter, both competed in the equestrian discipline of horse trials. Marie was a member of the board of the volunteer association that regulated equestrian competitions in Ontario along with Dr. Belovich. In the late 1990's after Dr.Belovich purchased Yonge Street Animal Hospital, Marie started to bring her house pets to Yonge Street Animal Hospital for their veterinary needs, but it was not until April of 2005 that she came on board as a part time Client Care Specialist with the aide of her daughter.
Marie had retired in 2004 from her long career in Office Administration and Customer Service. However, in 2005 Marie and her daughter acquired their third horse, and for that purposes Marie decided to work at Yonge Street Animal Hospital to help with the financial burden of their new addition. She also mentions that another reason for joining our team was because she wanted a position involving animals and the level of stress involved with a management position was no longer an interest for her. In addition, Marie loves to ‘rescue’ animals and for that reason she has a long list of pets. Her pets include 3 dogs, 3 cats, 3 horses and a pony. Her house pets include a gold Cockapoo named "Dexter", a gold Golden Retriever named "Gilligan" and a grey and white Siberian Husky named "Cujo". Her cats include a grey Domestic Shorthair named "Ashes", a black Domestic Longhair named "Maxine" and an orange Domestic Shorthair named "Dakota". She shares custody of horses and pony with her daughter. |
