Anthony is currently attending Lawrence Park Secondary School and joined the team at Yonge Street Animal Hospital to explore the world of Veterinary Medicine. Anthony grew up with pet cats as well as pet frogs. Anthony has a deep passion for animal care but when he isn’t at the clinic he enjoys spending his time building new things. He is a car enthusiast and enjoys both driving and fixing up cars and motorcycles.
Deanna Hurst Client Care / Kennel Assistant Deanna Hurst hails from Scarborough, where she graduated from Cedarbrae Collegiate Institute.After a year at Centennial College, Deanna joined the Yonge Street Animal Hospital Team as a Client Care Specialist in the winter of 2017. When not at the clinic, Deanna can be found chilling with her chinchilla, Phil, visiting with the neighbourhood cats, or out of the city at her cottage on Lake Dairmyple.
Tharsis Bastos Kennel Assistant
Tharsis Bastos Jr joined Yonge Street Animal Hospital in November 2017. Hailing from Uberaba in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, Tharsis moved to Canada this past summer with his wife Laurene and his 4 year old Pomeranian, Cleo. Together with his family, Tharsis has been enjoying exploring Toronto, especially checking out Sushi restaurants and hanging out in Eglington Park with Cleo. One of the most exciting moments so far was when they experienced their first snowfall! As a graduate of the University of Uberaba (Uniube), with a Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Medicine, in his home town in Brazil, Tharsis is using his experience at Yonge Street Animal Hospital to prepare him to obtain his Veterinary Licence in Canada.
